According to data, from 2018 to 2021, the import and export scale of China's PVC industry experienced significant fluctuations. From 2018 to 2020, it was in a state of trade deficit, and since 2021, it has gradually achieved a trade surplus. In 2021, the trade surplus was 1.685 billion US dollars, and from January to November 2022, it was 1.850 billion US dollars.
The import scale of PVC in China is showing a downward trend
From the perspective of total imports, the Import volume of China's PVC industry will fluctuate greatly from 2018 to 2021. In 2020, the total import volume was the highest in recent years, at 951300 tons, an increase of 42.97% year-on-year, and decreased to 398900 tons in 2021. From January to November 2022, the total volume of Import of China's PVC industry will be 306800 tons.
From the perspective of Import amount, the import amount of China's PVC industry fluctuated significantly from 2018 to 2021, and rose to 2.564 billion dollars in 2019. The import amount of PVC industry from 2020 to 2021 has significantly decreased compared to 2019, reaching 525 million US dollars in 2021. From January to November 2022, the import value of China's PVC industry was 371 million US dollars.
The overall scale of PVC exports in China has increased
From the perspective of total export volume, from 2018 to 2021, the export trade volume of China's PVC industry showed a trend of first decreasing and then increasing. In 2019, the year-on-year decrease was 14.27%, and there was an increase starting from 2020. In 2021, it increased to 1.7543 million tons, with a year-on-year growth rate of 178.97%. From January to November 2022, the total export trade volume of China's PVC industry was 1.8401 million tons.
From the perspective of export trade value, the export value of China's PVC industry fluctuated significantly from 2018 to 2021, with a total export value of 545 million US dollars in 2020, a year-on-year decrease of 68.82%; The highest increase in export value was in 2021, with an export value of 2.21 billion US dollars. From January to November 2022, the export value of China's PVC industry was 2.222 billion US dollars.
