The rise in carbon black prices in March was mainly supported by the recovery of market demand. In the domestic market, in March, the average operating load of all steel tires of tire enterprises in Shandong was estimated to be 58.55%, 34.21 percentage points higher than that of the previous month. The start-up of tire enterprises increased significantly, which stimulated the growth of carbon black demand.

The performance of export market is stronger, and the price advantage is more obvious than that of domestic price. Affected by the international situation, the European region was blocked from importing carbon black from Russia in the early stage, and turned to China to import carbon black. Industry insiders predict that the export orders of carbon black in March are expected to increase by 123.74%.

Due to the tight supply side of the carbon black market at present, it still needs a certain period to alleviate, while the domestic market demand of the downstream tire market on the demand side is flat, and the carbon black market price may have room to fall back at a high level, but there is still a certain bottom support for the carbon black price under the operation of high cost. For the price expectation of carbon black market in the next three months, it may rise first and then decline.
