In the color paste system, appropriate addition of fumed silica can improve the stability and applicability of the color paste and reduce the impact of the color paste on the paint system.

In powder coating systems, fumed silica can be used as a dispersant aid. Vapor phase silica can be adsorbed on the surface of the coating powder and form a surface layer on the powder surface, which can improve the dispersion and spraying performance of the coating.

The fumed silica can also prevent the sagging of the coating during the curing process and improve the thixotropy of the coating. During the construction of the coating itself, the solvent at the coating edge volatilizes rapidly, resulting in uneven surface tension, which is easy to make the coating move to the edge. The three-dimensional network formed by the hydroxyl group of silicon dioxide can effectively prevent the movement of the coating and form edges, so that the coating is uniform.
