Caustic Soda

Sodium hydroxide, chemical formula NaOH, is a strong caustic base with deliquescent properties
Soluble in ethanol and glycerol, insoluble in propyl alcohol, ether. Sodium hydroxide is used in the manufacture of chemicals, paper, soaps and detergents, rayon and cellophane, in the processing of bauxite to alumina, and in the mercerization of textiles. It is used to remove hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan sulfides in the petroleum refining industry. Used in food processing (peeling of vegetables and fruits) and refined vegetable oils. It can replace some soda ash to make glass. Processing recycled rubber, ACID wastewater treatment and anion exchange Resin regeneration.
