Property：
The emulsion polymerization formula mainly includes VCM, water, water-soluble initiator and emulsifier. Emulsion polymerization has strict requirements for stirring. The initiation is carried out in the water phase. The initiator usually used is water-soluble persulfate. In general, the particle size of the latex obtained by emulsion polymerization is less than 0.2μm. In order to achieve the purpose of increasing the particle size of the latex, the emulsion seed polymerization method was developed to increase the particle size of the latex to about 1.0μm. In emulsion polymerization, if there is already formed high polymer latex, control the material ratio and conditions, in principle, VCM only polymerizes on the formed latex particles, and no longer forms new particles; this kind of formed high polymer latex Polymer latex is like seed, so it is called "emulsion seed polymerization". However, only a reasonable particle size is not enough. It must have a proper particle size distribution to obtain a PVC Paste Resin with excellent performance. The emulsifier is very important in emulsion polymerization. The amount used determines the number of initiator particles and plays a major role in the size of the final latex particles. Especially during seed production, the use of high initiation rate and low concentration of emulsifier for production can narrow the size distribution of latex particles.
