Phthalate esters are the most widely used main plasticizers at present, with many varieties and high output. They have the characteristics of light color, low toxicity, good electrical properties, small volatile parts, less odor, general low temperature resistance and so on. At present, the consumption of phthalates accounts for about 80-85% of the total consumption of plasticizers, of which Dioctyl Phthalate and diisooctyl phthalate are the most commonly used. Dioctyl phthalate is an important general-purpose Plasticizer, which is mainly used for the processing of Pvc Resin, chemical fiber Resin, Acetic Acid resin, ABS resin, rubber and other polymers, as well as paint making, dyes, dispersants, etc.

General grade DOP: widely used in plastic, rubber, paint, emulsifier and other industries. The plasticized PVC can be used to manufacture artificial leather, agricultural film, packaging materials, cables, etc.

Electrical DOP: it has all the properties of general DOP and good electrical insulation performance. It is mainly used in the production of wires and electricity.

Grade DOP: mainly used for the production of food packaging materials.

Medical grade DOP: mainly used in the production of medical and health products, such as disposable medical instruments and medical packaging materials.

Main uses: DOP is a general-purpose plasticizer, which is mainly used for the processing of PVC grease, chemical resin, acetic ACID resin, ABS resin, rubber and other polymers, as well as paint, dye, dispersant, etc. DOP plasticized PVC can be used for the manufacture of artificial leather, agricultural film, packaging materials, cables, etc.

Diisooctyl phthalate, abbreviated as Diop, has the structural formula of 390.56 molecular weight and is almost colorless, transparent and viscous liquid. Relative density (20 ℃ /20 ℃) 0.986, freezing point -50 ℃, boiling point 235 ℃ (0.76kpa), flash point 218 ℃, refractive index (n25d) 1.484, viscosity (20 ℃) 83mpa · s. Soluble in most organic solvents, completely soluble in gasoline and mineral oil. Slightly soluble in glycerol, ethylene glycol and some amines. It is difficult to dissolve in water, and the solubility in water is <0.01% at 25 ℃. Flammable, slightly toxic. LD5022300mg/kg。

It has good compatibility with resin and rubber, and its performance is similar to DOP, but its electrical performance, low temperature performance and plasticizing efficiency are slightly poor, so it can be used as a substitute for DOP.

Dioctyl phthalate (DOP for short): colorless oily liquid with special smell.

Diisooctyl phthalate (Diop for short): it is an almost colorless viscous liquid, which is soluble in most organic solvents and hydrocarbons,

Diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP): viscous liquid, soluble in most organic solvents and hydrocarbons, insoluble or slightly soluble in glycerol, ethylene glycol and some amines. Its volatility is smaller than DOP. Resistant to migration, it is a low volatile plasticizer, resistant to aging, good electrical properties, but less miscible.

Diisopropyl phthalate (DINP for short): a transparent oily liquid, its volatility at high temperature is only half that of DOP.

Dibutyl phthalate (DBP for short): colorless transparent liquid with aromatic smell, soluble in most organic solvents and hydrocarbons. The critical plasticizing temperature of PVC by DBP is 90-95 ℃.

Diisobutyl phthalate (DiBP for short): colorless transparent liquid. When DiBP was used in PVC agricultural film, it was found that its precipitation caused rice seedlings to rot.

Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP for short): transparent oily liquid, soluble in organic solvents and hydrocarbons, insoluble in water. The critical plasticizing temperature of PVC by BBP is 96-100 ℃.

Dimethyl phthalate (DMP for short): colorless oily liquid with slight aromatic smell, insoluble in water at room temperature, miscible with aliphatic hydrocarbons, and well miscible with most resins

Diethyl phthalate (DEP for short): colorless oily liquid, non-toxic, slightly aromatic smell, soluble in most organic solvents.

Dicyclohexyl phthalate (DCHP): white crystalline powder with aromatic smell. Soluble in most organic solvents, completely soluble in hot gasoline and mineral oil, slightly soluble in ethylene glycol and some amines.

Dioctyl Terephthalate (DOTP): the physical properties of DOTP and DOP are similar, and the mechanical properties of products are also similar, but the volatile components of DOTP are much smaller than that of DOP.
