Description:
Kuraray PVA is a white granular water-soluble synthetic Resin whose chemical name is Polyvinyl alcohol, or PVA for short. The main properties of PVA are determined by the alcoholysis degree and polymerization degree of the molecule, and have the following properties:
1. Water solubility: easily soluble in water, insoluble in almost all organic solvents.
2. Viscosity of aqueous solution: The viscosity of PVA aqueous solution varies with the degree of polymerization, temperature and solution concentration.
3. Film-forming property: PVA aqueous solution is easy to form film, and its film has excellent physical properties such as tensile strength and wear resistance.
4. Hygroscopically: The film of PVA has low hygroscopic, and the change of hygroscopic with humidity is smaller than that of other water-soluble polymers.
5. Chemical resistance and oil resistance: PVA has strong resistance to weak ACID and weak alkali, and also has excellent oil resistance.
