Polyvinyl alcohol 2088 is a water-soluble environment-friendly polymer with good film-forming properties, emulsifying properties and bonding properties. The film it forms has excellent adhesion, solvent resistance, abrasion resistance, tensile strength and oxygen barrier properties. Because polyvinyl alcohol has both hydrophilic and hydrophobic functional groups, it has interface activity, so polyvinyl alcohol can be used as a protective colloid for polymer emulsification and suspension polymerization.

The properties of polyvinyl alcohol are determined by two factors: the degree of polymerization and the degree of alcoholysis. The higher the degree of polymerization, the higher the molecular weight, and the higher the viscosity of the aqueous solution after dissolution. The degree of alcoholysis indicates the degree to which the hydrophobic acetate group is taken up and sold by the hydrophilic group. The method of life of polyvinyl alcohol products in this part: the first two digits of the product name indicate the degree of polymerization, and the last two digits indicate the degree of alcoholysis. For example, PVA1799 means that the average degree of polymerization of the product is around 1700, and the degree of alcoholysis is 99%.
Using vinyl acetate as raw material and methanol as solvent, through polymerization reaction, and then adjusted to a certain concentration, a polyvinyl acetate-methanol solution suitable for low-alkali alcoholysis was obtained. The polyvinyl acetate-methanol solution and the NaOH methanol solution are subjected to alcoholysis reaction according to the specified molar ratio and reaction temperature, and then the Polyvinyl Alcohol product that meets the specified requirements is obtained after crushing, pressing and drying.
The application of Taiwan CCP PVA in adhesives includes (1) construction glue; (2) polyvinyl acetate white latex. Among them, BP-17 and BP-24 can be used in the production of construction glue and white latex, and their antifreeze performance is excellent. It is also especially suitable for binder in thermal insulation mortar.

Application:
PVA polymer powder is especially suitable for use as a building mortar additive. It can be used in conjunction with methyl Cellulose Ether water-retaining agents to improve the flexibility, water retention and adhesion of cement mortar. In addition, the friction of the mortar is reduced, thereby enhancing the work efficiency and quality. (Prevent the cracking and falling off of the plastering layer, increase the adhesion strength and smoothness). PVA is a fine-grained polymer, which is easy to disperse in cold water, and can quickly disperse in water. Its aqueous solution has good viscosity stability, which can improve many characteristics of cement mortar, and also has the function of capillary, which has adsorption effect.
